I think the IDEA of something new or different is more challenging to embrace than the change itself. Once you accept the change and move with it, one step at a time, it becomes less intimidating.
But how did I go from having my hand in the cookie jar (or garbage can) to the fruit bowl? How did I gain the respect for food I needed to break this cycle of emotional eating?
