What is a Health Coach?
Health Coaches educate, support and motivate people to build healthy new habits and create sustainable lifestyle changes.
While most dietitians dwell on calories, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, restrictions and lists of good and bad foods, Caryn works with clients to create an energizing, healthy life in a way that is flexible and fun.
No one diet works for everyone. The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has his/her own nutritional needs. So, when the experts say, “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” it’s too much of a generalization. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets don’t work in the long run. As a Health Coach, Caryn creates a loving and supportive environment while exploring what really works for the client.
Clients develop awareness as to what foods and lifestyle habits are supporting them and which are draining their energy. Caryn strives for each client to form relationship with food that is healthy, supportive and loving. In addition, throughout the program, clients learn how to:
- Increase energy by eating a nutrient dense diet
- Feel confident with food choices and preparation
- Understand the body better
- Make self-care a priority
- Understand cravings
